4:03 pm - studio daze
Hey look, we have a blog!

Lots has changed since our last update (almost a year ago!).

William and I have been making occasional treks up to Enfield to record our new album (working title: Book of Lies") with producer Michael Deming (Pernice Bros., The Lilies, Butterflies of Love), and we are quite psyched about it. Soon we will shine in all our hi-fi glory (not that there's anything wrong with lo-fi glory).

But enough with the parenthesis.

We've been playing out occasionally as a duo, but that may change soon as we've got a bass player named Andy waiting in the on-deck circle...he'd be playing with us already if I wasn't so busy all the time and not able to teach him the songs.

Oh, and I quit my job and went back to school, for anyone that cares.

Popfest New England is coming up soon...and if it's anywhere near as fun as Popfest Athens was, we're in store for a drunken good time. Other than that, we're laying low as far as shows go to finish up the recording process. We think it'll be worth the wait.

6:42 am - Some news about the Popfest
As you might know Skipping Stones Records (our label) is putting on a music fest in Northampton, MA in November.
For more info you can go to http://www.skippingstonesrecords.com/popfest/

Here is a little info for now:

I am going to post a list of bands that have confirmed as of this moment.
We were holding off on asking bands to commit 100% until we got all
the details ironed out. Let me tell you, it took a really big iron and
I can't EVEN begin to tell you about the ironing board!
Anyway, here goes -- in no particular order:

Baskervilles -- website

The Smittens -- website

The Consultants -- website

Shumai -- website

Pants Yell! -- website

superfallingstars -- website

Colin Clary and the Magogs (we hope) -- review

The A.V. Club -- website

Spanish for Hitchiking -- website

Snoozer -- website

Cannonball Jane -- website

The Metric Mile -- website</p>

The confirmations are coming in as I am writing this - it's been a
long weekend and I know that there will be many more coming in this
week. We have 30 bands scheduled - hopefully all who have been asked
and committed to the fest when it was originally scheduled will come
through.
